One year ago today I was on my way home from picking up my friend Carley from the train station; when suddenly a drunk man crossed 3 lanes of traffic to make a left turn off of an exit. He hit my car on the passenger side, causing it to spin 360 degrees, and then they drove away. We were stranded in the middle of a main road. My airbags had deployed, causing major chemical burns all over my body, and I later found out I had ingested the chemicals from the airbag, bruised ribs from my seatbelt, and had snapped a tendon in my ankle leaving me unable to really walk. A few days later while my insurance company was investigating they found that if the van had hit me 2 more inches towards the center my car would of been engulfed in flames. We would of died that night. But, for some reason I didn’t. For SOME reason I am still here. And I swore to myself that I would live the rest of my life with purpose and meaning. Don’t ever waste your life. Dream big, take chances, live with no regrets. You NEVER know which minutes will be your last.
